City to commence with road rehabilitation in the Cape Farms, Morning Star and Table View area

The City of Cape Town’s Urban Mobility Directorate would like to advise the public of intended roadworks on Honeyvale Road, Cape Farms; Zonnekus Roads and the MR215, Morningstar and various other roads in Table View. The work is planned to take place from this week until Thursday, 20 March 2025 between 07:30 and 17:30 from Monday to Saturday. No work will be done at night or on Sundays.
This project entails works along the following roads:
The rehabilitation of Honeyvale Road in the Cape Farms area close to Klein Dassenberg and Witsand will entail the re-gravelling of a portion of the road
The rehabilitation of Zonnekus Road in the Morningstar area which will entail the re-gravelling of the road as well as the construction of a concrete drift to facilitate stormwater
The resurfacing of the MR215 in Morningstar will include milling the road surface; replacing surfacing layers and repainting road markings along the entire stretch from the N7 to the M19.
The resealing of various roads in Table View including Arum Road; Briza Road; Crassula Road; Disa Road; Erica Road; Rose-Innes Road; Dunbar Street; Tritonia Road and Otto du Plessis Drive.
‘Residents and business owners in the various areas can expect some noise over the next month but can look forward to rehabilitated and fresh roads soon, as our teams work hard to complete the work as efficiently as possible. We would like to thank road users for their patience while the works are under way, rehabilitation projects such as these are one of the ways in which we are keeping Cape Town moving ,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Mobility, Councillor Rob Quintas.
